The advantages and disadvantages of daily and home monitoring of blood pressure for the diagnosis of hypertension in children are discussed. The concept of “masked” arterial hypertension is given. The problem of diagnosis of arterial hypertension in young athletes, the need for the complex use of 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography and stress testing in this category of children are demonstrated. The article presents the tactics of observation and treatment of children with arterial hypertension involved in sports clubs.
