The Zdravookhranenie (Healthcare) journal history is addressed. The journal is the ancestor of the official periodic medical publications in Belarus connected closely with the republican public health care. The role and importance of such journals as Belorusskaya Meditsinskaya Mysl (Belorussian Medical Conception), Belaruskaya Medychna Dumka (Belorussian Medical Conception), Meditsinsky Zhurnal of BSSR (BSSR Medical Journal), Zdravookhranenie Belorussii (Belarusi) (Belorussia (Belarus) Health Care), the Zdravookhranenie (Healthcare) journal predecessors, for improving the homeland public health care and medical science are demonstrated. The editorial staff, the editorial board, and editors-in-chief activities during the period the journal has been published are characterized. The Zdravookhranenie (Healthcare) journal contribution in the medical professional society and medical workers exposure to the world medical achievements are shown.
