Genital prolapse and stress urinary incontinence in women present a difficult clinical problem. The study was aimed at investigating the possibilities of wave diagnosis methods in assessing the urethral continence and abnormalities of the pelvic organs in women with genital prolapse and stress urinary incontinence at the present stage. Sixty six Russian and English sources were analyzed. The review reveals the etiology, clinical presentation and diagnosis of genital prolapse and stress urinary incontinence. The proper and reasonable use of modern wave diagnostic methods will help choose the adequate method of treatment.
