The article is based on a review of foreign and domestic literature dedicated to the problem of medical tourism.
A practice-oriented analysis of strategies used in this area, of the marketing policy features, of ways of attracting and motivating qualified doctors was conducted. The international experience of medical tourism organizing was summarized and analyzed. The sphere peculiar features as well as some ways of its development in the Republic of Belarus, ways of attracting patients were determined in order to activate the medical services export and to elevate the country’s income associated with it. The conclusions and recommendations offered by the authors were based on the experience of leading countries in the field of medical tourism and concerned both the systems of health care, education, taxation and the public-private partnership and marketing policy in this field.
