CHOICE OF MODEL OF ACUTE NECROTIZING PANCREATITIS IN RATS

Objective. To simulate a model of acute necrotizing pancreatitis (SNPS) in rats reproducing the processes occurring in the body of a sick person.

Materials and methods. To simulate a model of SNPS we used 16 individuals of SD rats of the categories SPF at the age of 12—14 weeks. They were divided into 4 groups four animals in each.

Results. An experimental model of acute necrotizing pancreatitis in rats was elaborated. Reliable signs of pancreatic necrosis confirmed by the laboratory and morphological studies were obtained by a single-step ligation of the biliopancreatic duct in the place of its confluence into the duodenum. The experiment confirmed the stages of development of acute pancreatitis (edema, infiltration, necrosis) similar those in the body of a sick person.

Conclusion. The experimental model of SNPS elaborated may be recommended to be used in future investigations of pathophysiological changes in a animal’s organism as well as for evaluating the effectiveness of diagnostic and treatment methods in case of this form of pathology.
