The article presents a brief literature review and assesses critically the current methods of drug therapy for demyelinating diseases of the nervous system. In order to help the practical doctor, detailed recommendations on the tactics of managing patients with primary encephalomyelitis or polyradiculoneuritis, multiple sclerosis and leukoencephalitis based on years of the own experience are given.
