Objective. On the basis of studying the amino acid balance to substantiate the expediency of the photodynamic therapy in experimental acute cholangitis.
Material and methods. The control group consisted of healthy non-operated animals with acute cholangitis. Further, in the first group, the biliary tree was sanitized with saline, in the second group photodynamic therapy with combined laser irradiation of the liver and bile ducts was carried out. On the 2nd and 4th days of the experiment general and biochemical blood tests, microbiological and microscopic studies of bile were performed, and the spectrum of free amino acids in blood plasma was determined.
Results. On the 2nd day of the experiment the acute cholangitis was developed in the animals. An increase in the total pool of free amino acids, the level of aromatic and sulfur-containing amino acids was noted. Decreases in branched hydrocarbon-based chain amino acids and Fisher’s index were found. An increase in the hydroxylation coefficient confirms the development of liver failure. After treatment in the second experimental group laboratory parameters statistically significantly approached to the preoperative values in comparison with the first group. Amino acid imbalance in the “Experiment 1” group was expressed in a greater rate. In the “Experiment 2” group the tendency towards normalization of the Fisher index, aromatic, sulfur-containing and branched hydrocarbon-based chain amino acids was noted. Normalization of alanine, phenylalanine, lysine and arginine in the second group indicates the improvement in the energy supply of tissues, the restoration of the hydroxylating function of the liver, a less pronounced catabolic response and a lower load on the urea cycle.
Conclusion.1. Experimental acute cholangitis causes a pronounced disorder of the amino acid composition of blood plasma. 2. Photodynamic therapy of experimental acute cholangitis with combined laser irradiation of the liver has
a pronounced bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effect, normalizes the metabolic function of the liver. 3. Examination of free amino acids of blood plasma is an informative prognostic method that allows tracking the response to treatment of acute cholangitis.Ключевые слова:
