Objective. To determine the factors influencing the immediate results of kidney transplantation from a deceased donor.
Materials and methods. The medical records of 120 patients operated on at the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital were studied. The patients mortality rate and the percentage of graft loss after surgery as well as the influence of the assumed risk factors (age of donors and recipients, gender of donors and recipients, time of conservation of the donor organ, cause of the donor’s death, the recipient’s blood group) on those parameters were evaluated.
Results. The study did not reveal a statistically significant dependence of the unfavorable outcome of kidney transplantation on the above factors taken isolated.
Conclusion. The recipient’s gender combined with the blood group as well as the donor-recipient gender can be important predictors of the kidney transplantation outcome.Ключевые слова:
