The article is dedicated to one of the most important for the man problems – to the phenomen of death. The attitude to death in the past and nowadays is considered. The death is assessed philosophically. Attention is paid to the death fear nature, the death significance as the foundation of the moral and ethical problems in the society, the background for the ethics and arts (music, literature, painting, sculpture) origination. The importance of understanding that the life end cannot be prevented and the man should become ready for his death is stressed. Attention is focused on the death meaning and relation to death as the spiritual awakening and connecting the earth life with the eternity. Various approaches to seaking the life meaning are described.
