CONCENTRIC SCLEROSIS BALO

Clinical case of a 53-year-old patient with acute developed left-sided hemiparesis, central prosoparesis and mild dysarthria is presented. The results of MRI of the brain in the right hemisphere revealed two areas of reduced density with concentric destruction of myelin, which is characteristic of Balo concentric sclerosis. Timely therapy with methylprednisolone and subsequent rehabilitation led to a complete regression of focal neurological symptoms and a decrease in the size of foci of demyelination.
