This article is devoted to reviewing current view on the problem of a dramatic increase in allergic diseases prevalence. Early childhood is a critical period for the mucosal immune system development and induction of oral tolerance to food proteins. Therefore, search for factors impacting at the oral tolerance induction in children is particularly relevant in term of the need to set a strategy for the allergic diseases primary prevention in the population.
