The article highlights anatomical and physiological features of the coordination formation in the process of central nervous system ontogenetic development. The coordination development is being considered in the field of importance for the harmonious psychomotor child development. The main methods used for assessing coordination are given.
A method of studying coordination and determining the extent of its impairment in children of the first year of life developed by the authors is described. It can be widely used in the clinical neurological and pediatric practice.
